James Dyer FRGS
James Dyer FRGS is a highly experienced, award winning expedition professional, designing, preparing, as well as providing safety advice and leading expeditions. He continues to practice as an adventurer and explorer in his own right, staying true to his original passion for exploring remote wildernesses. James believes that expeditions are powerful mediums to help educate and inspire, and that they can be drivers to help in environmental, conservation and social justice and change.
Between 2011 and 2016 James was the Operations Manager at the British Exploring Society, devising, planning and setting standards for the operational delivery of wild and remote scientific expeditions for young people. The Society is the oldest expeditions organisations of its type in the world. James continues to be involved in the organisation as a Chief Leader and Adviser, supporting the Society's work in transforming and educating future generations.
He has travelled and explored the world, sometimes on adventurous expeditions or physical challenges of his own, pushing himself physically and mentally, in some of the remotest and wildest places on the planet, developing his passion for wildlife, exploration and wilderness areas.
James is a professional expedition leader and has led literally hundreds of people on expeditions, adventurous activities and projects globally, these includes students, tourists, military groups, scientists, TV crews and youth groups, educating, inspiring and transforming their views and understanding of the world around us!
James was made a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in 2011.
In 2014 he became a Leading Practitioner of the Institute of Outdoor Learning, and has recently been elected as a member of the Arctic Club. In 2014 James devised and led an expedition leading 26 Royal Air Force Air Cadets across the deserts of Jordan, in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, this expedition went on to win both the acclaimed Royal Air Force Air Cadets Shackleton Trophy for best Expedition and the Ulysses Trust Best Cadet Expedition.
In March 2018 James was announced as the 2018 British Exploring Society, Les Morgan Award Winner for Best Leader.
Our Team - Peter Gourri - ACILEX
Peter Gourri ACILEX
Peter Gourri is a professionally qualified Business Mentor and Life Coach who works remotely with corporate and individual clients in the United States of America and Europe, as well as on a global basis with clients as far away as Singapore in the Far East. He helps clients to gain the clarity to have more successful businesses, deal with interpersonal breakdowns and create more successful and efficient and existence.
After a successful career spanning nearly 3 decades as a lawyer in the City of London dealing with complex and demanding situations as well as management, he moved to New York City in 2016 to become the CAO of a professional market data management consultancy based in Manhattan.
He retired from the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Training) Branch as a Squadron leader, where amongst the numerous skills he developed, he earned a reputation for his considerable leadership, mentoring and training skills as well as being someone who was both compassionate and worked well under pressure. Whilst in the Royal Air Force he trained as an expedition leader which enabled him to organise and lead numerous activities both in the UK and abroad. In 2016 Peter was recognised by the UK Government with a Defence Council Letter of Appreciation (commendation) for his service helping to mentor and care for others.
Peter turned his back on the corporate and legal word in 2017 to develop his dedicated Coaching Practice. Coaching and mentoring is something which he undertook throughout both his business and military career. He graduated from the highly respected International Coaching Federation recognized Coaching Accreditation training program given by Accomplishment Coaching, who are one of the most highly regarding training providers for coaching internationally.
